One thing that I rarely practice is my portraits. Usually what holds me back is having to direct someone, especially when I tend to use people who aren't experienced models. I'm used to shooting candid, and I find that sits nicely within my comfort zone. But sometimes I want to step out of that comfort zone, get creative and push myself. This was one of those days.
I called upon my friend to model for me, and we took to see what we could do. I styled her an outfit, and we went looking for some fun, colourful shots which is a step away from my usual thing. I like how these turned out and it was very enjoyable getting to experiment with portraits and try something new.
